Pundranagar Film Society, Bogura is named after the historical capital of ancient Bengal, Pundranagar. The film society was formed on July 30, 2017 with some young film lovers of Bogura. The motto of the society is to create new film workers, filmmakers and to familiar with the films of home and abroad to the film loving people.

Every year film festival has been organized since the establishment of this society. Bogura Youth Short Film Festival and 1st Bogura International Film Festival were organized in 2018 and 2019 respectively. In 2020 Bogura Women International Film Festival was organized online due to covid-19 pandemic situation. At every film festival we have received incredible response from filmmakers and participants from home and abroad. This year 45 films from 18 countries in five categories have been selected for screening & awarding.

On behalf of Pundranagar Film Society Bogura, we would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the all filmmakers from home and abroad who have participated in this film festival, whose films have been selected for film screening and have been nominated for Pundranagar Film Award 2024 in various categories as per the judgment of the jury board. We would also like to thank Bogura district administration, police administration, journalists, political and cultural leaders, honorable patrons, honorable juries, well-wishers and above all the members of Pundranagar Film Society.
We hope that the festival promises will be abuzz with the presence of film lovers. We also hope that the fifth coming Bogura International Film Festival will be more pompous and organized with the guidance of film geniuses.
